Eight million mummified animals unearthed at ancient catacomb in Egypt
Archaeologists in Egypt have discovered around 8 million mummified animals at a dog catacomb near Cairo. A team of international researchers excavating the site at an ancient burial ground in Saqqara unearthed bones and is recording the mummification techniques used to prepare them.
